1. About this service
LajuAPI is an independent API gateway: one endpoint that accepts requests in the Anthropic and OpenAI formats and forwards them to model infrastructure behind it. The service is operated by LajuAPI, a sole proprietorship based in Indonesia.
LajuAPI is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or any other model provider. Product and model names are used descriptively to indicate API compatibility and remain the trademarks of their respective owners.
By creating an account or sending a request to the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Accounts and API keys
- You must be at least 18, or use the service under the supervision of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms.
- Sign-up is currently invite-only while the billing flow is being finalised.
- Your API keys are your responsibility. All usage made with your keys counts as your usage and is billed to your balance — including usage after a key leaks. Store keys the way you store passwords, and revoke them from the dashboard the moment you suspect exposure.
- Tell us at support@lajuapi.com if you find unauthorised access to your account.
3. Prepaid balance, pricing, and billing
- The service runs on a prepaid balance. You top up first, and each request draws that balance down, with no invoice after the fact. If we ever offer a different arrangement — a subscription plan, for example — its terms will be presented separately and you choose whether to take it.
- Balances are denominated in USD. Payments made in Rupiah are converted at the rate shown to you at the time of the transaction.
- Billing is per token (input, output, and cache tokens where applicable) at the model rate in effect when the request is received, as published on the pricing page.
- Rates are indicative and may change, because they track the supply market we buy from. Changes apply going forward; usage already recorded is billed at the rate that applied at the time.
- The model catalogue may change: models can be added, repriced, or withdrawn from sale at any time.
- A LajuAPI balance is not electronic money and not a payment instrument. It can only be spent on LajuAPI services, earns no interest, is not a deposit, and cannot be transferred to another user.
- The usage records in your dashboard are the basis for billing. If you believe a charge is wrong, see the Refund Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use LajuAPI to:
- do anything unlawful under Indonesian law or the law that applies to you;
- generate or distribute child sexual abuse material, extreme violent content, hate speech, or content attacking people on the basis of ethnicity, religion, or race;
- send spam, run fraud or social engineering, phish, or build malware;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- attack, overload, or degrade our service or the infrastructure behind it — including attempts to use the service beyond your balance or to avoid billing;
- resell access to LajuAPI to third parties without our written consent.
You must also comply with the usage policies of the model providers behind the service.
5. Availability
The service is provided on a best-effort basis with no service level agreement (SLA). We may perform maintenance, apply per-key rate limits, or change capacity without prior notice. Operational status is published at status.lajuapi.com.
Your requests are processed by third-party model infrastructure. Outages, changes in model behaviour, or discontinuation on their side can affect this service and are outside our control.
6. Suspension and termination
- We may suspend or revoke keys or accounts where we see a breach of section 4, a security problem, or a legal obligation. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you first.
- You may stop at any time by ceasing use and asking us by email to close your account.
- If we terminate your service and you have not breached these terms, we refund your unused balance under the Refund Policy.
7. No warranty
The service is provided “as is”. Model output is probabilistic: it can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate for your context. We do not warrant that output is accurate, fit for a particular purpose, or free of third-party rights. Do not rely on model output as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions. Verification remains your responsibility.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, or lost data.
These limits do not apply to loss caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence, and they do not reduce your rights as a consumer under Indonesian Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection.
9. Complaints and disputes
Send complaints to support@lajuapi.com with
the request_id and the time of the event, within 30 days, so
that we still hold the records needed to trace it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. We will try to resolve disputes by discussion before either party takes another route.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the version in force. For material changes we will notify active users by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
